What are the attractions in Jamaica?

Due to the continual tropical climate in Jamaica, its main tourist attraction is its beaches and hotels. Right throughout the year, Jamaicans and tourists spend most of their vacations at the beach. Also, many people build their houses near the beach because it always gives off cool and refreshing breeze, and it provides easy access to take a swim or just relx on the sand. There are over 50 beautiful beaches on this small island and they are all worthy of exploration. However, each beach doesn't get equal amount of attenton by which some are more popular than the others or simply more secluded and quiet. It is all based on the individual's prefrence.

What are Some Good Beaches and Resorts?

  1. Doctor's Cave Beach Hotel
  2. The main tourist area and number one attraction is on Gloucester Avenue, near the waterfront. Doctor's Cave Beach is the best-known beach in the region. It is a golden-sand cove that winds around the bay. Doctor's Cave has light-blue water and sits sheltered from the wind inside the bay, making it a prime location for sunbathing visitors. There is a small admission charge, and many guests from local resorts visit the beach to enjoy the glass bottom boat trips, parasailing rides and jetskis trips are also sold on the beach. This is a place where smiles and laughter fill the air and warm memories fill the soul. They also have a pool, where European sunbathing is permitted, a jacuzzi and gym on property, all in a lush environment. These are the ingredients of a Jamaican holiday.

  3. Seven Mile Beach Resort & Club
  4. At this beach there really are seven, uninterrupted miles of fine white sand, but it's not just about that, or the turquoise sea, or fiery sunsets. Seven Mile is also a fountain of entertainment, with weekly live Reggae, a constant stream of snack vendors, and countless restaurants for when you’ve somehow decided a constant stream of snacks isn’t a meal. This beach is just a ten-minute walk from Negril's breathtaking cliff side, which should have a Stallone-themed bar dangling off the side called Cliffhanger’s. Seven Mile Beach is a long crescent of coral-sand beach on the western end of Grand Cayman island. Seven Mile Beach is known for its beauty, recently receiving the honor of "The Caribbean's Best Beach" from Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine.   6. Negril Beach is a Caribbean classic – five miles of white, west-facing sand that shelves gently into gin-clear water. Much of it is developed and there are scores of bars and restaurants. The best show of the beach happens at night- the sunset over the sea horizon. This beach has areas are sectioned off for swimming, beach concessionaires offer wind-surfers, parascending, glass-bottom boat tours, jetskis and scuba. Masseurs sometimes set up their tables. There are plenty of quiet public sitting areas and the abundant foliage creates a feeling of seclusion between the various buildings where the rooms and suites are located.

  8. Dunn's River Falls is one of Jamaica's national treasures. Globally, it is as well known as reggae and equally stimulating. A stone's throw from Ocho Rios, one of Jamaica's fastest growing resort centres, Dunn's River Falls is unique.   12. Even though this is not a beach or resort, it just had to be included on the list. Why? Beacuse it's just absolutely amazing. Kool Runnings is definitely one of the best attractions in Jamaica. Located in Negril, this adventure park is definitley a place to visit while it Jamaica. It's amazing waterpark and adventure zone says it all. The water park has a lot to offer such as it's eight water slides, a lazy pool and also a kids pool which includes a 'jungle gym'. Also, each day in the adventure zone, the in-house DJ serves up live entertainment with your favorite tunes on the turntables, while the entertainment coordinators conduct hula-hoop and dance contests, musical chairs as well as go-kart racing. There is also a Paintball Ceneter where family and friends can have fun together. In addition to this, at the end of the day delicious food is served and there is always the relaxing scene of the beautiful sunset that can be viewed while sailing on the lake.
